One evening while on patrol, this home spun superhero took a chance and called WOWO radio.  The DJ on duty was Ron Gregory.  Ron was faced with a decision, he could hang up on this 'prank caller,' or he could put him on the air.  He opted for the latter, and they had a lively discussion on the radio.

It wasn't until Maureen Mecozzi took over Carols' duties from 11:00 PM till 7:00 AM, that Skunk-Guy became a regular on what she dubbed; The After Midnight Club. Maureen was sworn in as an Official Skunk Scout, and recruitment of the Skunk Squad began in earnest.
People from all over the broadcast area, which was quite extensive, called in to the show; in order to be sworn in as official skunk scouts.  Fan letters flowed into the station. Skunk-Guy even made a surprise appearance at a young fans' house one Saturday morning.

From that point on, Skunk-Guy was a semi-regular on Ron's radio broadcast.  He would prowl the streets at night and check in with Ron.  Eventually, he would be heard on a later broadcast hosted by Carol Ford.
It was at this point, the inception of the Skunk Squad was introduced.

SKUNK-GUY

With the costume completed, all that was needed was to build a legacy.  So Michael donned the cape and tights of this new aromatic avenger and hit the streets of his home town of Fort Wayne , Indiana.
(Bare in mind this is decades before cosplay was ever a thing.)

He wouldn't be seen again for thirty years.
Maureen and Skunk-Guy were constantly bantering back and forth on a weekly basis.  A good time was had by all.
Then it came to a halt, when Maureen accepted a job out of the area, and the Stinking Stalker faded away.
